Meet Happiness Namunyak Tenke!
Happiness was born into a culture that believes a woman’s role is to be a wife and mother. So, like her sister, she stopped school after grade 8 and was married off. At the young age of 15, she became a mother. Her husband mistreated her and she turned to her parents for help. They heard about the program at Malindi and referred her to MCF. Happiness and her son are adjusting well. Happiness looks forward to achieving her certification and making a life for herself and her son. She wants to be a fashion designer.
