Happy lives with her mother and grandmother because her father left in search of employment. Her mother is a housewife and they all depend exclusively on the small amount the father is able to provide. Happy loves her teachers and wants to become a teacher herself one day.
Happy's Unmet Needs
Vipingo Secondary School
Vipingo is a rural slum area located in Kilifi district in Coast Province. Located along the coastline near Mombasa, Kenya, MCF rescues, rehabilitates and educates orphans and other vulnerable children from the surrounding community who have been largely affected by child sex tourism. Our day center offers a free nutritious meal to all the children while our formal education program ensures access to quality education. The MCF Vipingo secondary school serves approximately 100 students.
