Miriam

Meet Miriam Mumbua Munyala!

Miriam, and her sister Ndungwa, come from a single-parent home. Their mother is an alcoholic who would often leave the two little girls by themselves in their one-room house. Villagers assisted the children with food and clothing but they were at risk of abuse being alone in their home. Unfortunately, a tragedy occurred and the police were notified. The girls were referred to MCF by the Gender Desk that was opened by MCF at the Matuu Police Station. The two sisters are now safe and protected. Miriam is a lively and playful little girl who is always smiling about something.
